Bob was mainly teaching electronics, control systems and drive technology. In 2019 he joined the HZ Delta Power research group. Bob us specifically active in research around tidal energy, implementing the processes to control and measure the workings of bidirectional pump/turbines in the HZ Delta Power Lab, where we simulate how such bidirectional pump/turbines would function in a barrier between for instance the North Sea on the one hand, and a closed of lake like the Grevelingenmeer on the other hand. Also Bob is active in running and collaboratively expanding our HZ UAS Hydrogen Lab. In this Lab we can educate students and interested stakeholders through demonstrating technology related to using green hydrogen.
