The Kustlaboratorium project, located in the Waterdunen area, started in May 2020. The goal of this project is to combine coastal safety, recreation, nature development and food production. The project Kustlaboratorium is a saline experimental setting created to test the potential of shellfish and saline crops production within the Waterdunen area. Together with Stichting Het Zeeuwse Landschap and entrepreneurs, the HZ University of Applied Sciences will focus on the production methodologies, systems and potentials. In the first phase the characterization of the area is also part of the research. | |||
We are looking for an enthusiastic intern student that will be focusing on the biotic and abiotic characterizations and the suitability of different oyster production systems in the Waterdunen area. Students will have the opportunity to assist in different kind of research activities and data analysis and can contribute in setting up (field)-experiments.
